FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This information is for both self-catering and bed & breakfast visits. For long stays, please discuss.
How do I enquire or book a holiday?
Can I book a visit that doesn't start or end on Saturday?
Your visit can start/end any day you choose (subject to availability).
Self-catering visits are three nights minimum. Bed & breakfast can be any number of nights.
How do I confirm a booking?
Your booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit (normally 30% of the full cost). The deposit is non-
returnable should you cancel or curtail your holiday, but can be used towards future bookings (see below).
To pay by bank transfer, please request bank details.
Do you take provisional bookings?
We are happy to pencil a provisional booking in our diary prior to your confirmation. You will then have first refusal
on those dates.
Would you please pay the balance owing on arrival (cheque or cash).
What's included in the price?
Everything: accommodation, catering appropriate to your visit, heating, firewood, use of the lakeside picnic area,
digital tv, broadband, transport to/from the station, camping/caravanning if included in your holiday.
What about holiday insurance?
We advise you to arrange your own cover if required.
What if I have to cancel dates for which I've already paid a deposit?
The deposit is non-refundable, but if you cancel four weeks or more before your holiday, we credit the deposit
against a future visit, and will re-book you for your first available choice.

beach towels and a hotty! If you are staying a week or more, we will provide a change of linen and towels during
your stay. An exception is linen for your children's cots, which you should bring.
You will also find a (mostly organic) range of soaps, shampoo, shower gel, and bathroom and kitchen cleaning
liquids. All you need is your toothpaste and toothbrush.

Is the Cwtsh safe for children?
Ffynnon Clûn is a working smallholding. It is a delightful place for children, and they can safely visit subject always
to parental control. Children remain the responsibility of parent/guardian at all times. We will point out to you any
matters of particular interest to parents (e.g. safe use of stairladder, safety by lakes and streams, no access to
working areas). Please make sure you know where your children are at all times.
The Cwtsh is non-smoking.
Sorry, we don't take pets at the Cwtsh. We have set up the Cwtsh to be suitable for visitors including those with
allergies. All paints and cleaning products are organic. We can provide details of local kennels and catteries.
What about arrival times?
If you tell us in advance, we can accommodate most arrival times. That includes travellers arriving after midnight
on the Irish ferry.
We prefer you to leave by 11, but later departures are possible if we are not preparing for new arrivals. We are
always happy to store your luggage, so you can spend your last day locally and collect when you leave.
See the directions on the
GETTING HERE page. If you're still in doubt, phone us when you're on your way.
(Sat Nav might let you down before our gate).
Do you have safe parking?
Parking is off-road and on our land near the Cwtsh. Please use the designated area, lock your vehicle and remove
valuables.
We’re thinking of leaving the car and coming by train. Can you meet us at the station?
With pleasure. Increasing numbers of our visitors are doing this. During your stay you will also find regular coastal
buses pass our gate.
How many does the Cwtsh accommodate?
The Cwtsh is ideally set up for a couple, plus a baby or younger child. We do also welcome larger groups. As well
as the double futon bed we can provide a single futon. We also offer a touring caravan on the field behind the
Cwtsh which is popular with teenage visitors who want some independence from parents.
Is the bedroom platform easily accessible?
The Cwtsh has a typical croglofft bedroom, accessed by a very sturdy stairladder with good handrails and
handholds. This is fine for all able-bodied visitors. If someone in your party has restricted mobility, please discuss
your needs with us before booking.
Is the bedroom platform full height?
The croglofft bedroom is under the eaves, with limited headroom to each side.
What are your security arrangements?
You will have keys to the front door and shutter doors of the Cwtsh. Only you and we have access to the Cwtsh
during your stay. The windows are also secured by window locks. Please close and lock windows before going out.
Your personal belongings remain your responsibility at all times. Please return your keys to us on departure.
